Mental health disorders are conditions that physiologically affect the brain. Mental illness is not a weakness or inability to control your emotions. Just like diabetes or arthritis, brain disorders have very real symptoms, and require expert medical evaluation and treatment.

At the University of Miami Health System, our psychiatrists care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults/seniors in inpatient (hospital stay) and outpatient (clinic) locations throughout South Florida. We’re an internationally recognized research and academic medical center, helping families across the globe overcome even the most complex and difficult to treat mental illnesses.

If you or a loved one are having trouble with moods, thinking, or behavior, please contact 305-243-0214 to schedule an appointment.
