Cancer Screening Saves Lives

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. and worldwide. More lives are lost to lung cancer than to colorectal, breast, and prostate cancers combined. When detected early, lung cancer is highly treatable. Early detection of lung cancer can save your life. Lung cancer screening by low-dose Chest CT is the only approved screening test for lung cancer early detection.

In 2010, the National Lung Screening Trial (NLST) sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) showed a 20% relative reduction of dying from lung cancer in patients undergoing CT Chest screening. Lung cancer screening is recommended only for individuals at high risk for lung cancer.
