Grand Rounds & Lectures

Grand Rounds and clinical and research lectures at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine have been a tradition since the Institute’s founding in 1962. Grand Rounds are now broadcast live via Go To Webinar and are accessible to all current Bascom Palmer faculty, residents and fellows. Broadcasting Grand Rounds live will facilitate participation for physicians in our Palm Beach Gardens, Naples and Plantation centers.

Physicians must register in advance in order to watch the presentations live. To register, please visit the Bascom Palmer Grand Rounds Registration Site. If you are logging in for the first time, it is recommended that you attempt to do so prior to Grand Rounds day so if there is any authorization complication it can be addressed prior to the meeting. No technical support will be available once Grand Rounds have started.

Additionally, we are happy to announce that Bascom Palmer voluntary faculty member, Yale Fisher, MD, has developed a novel instructional web site for ophthalmologists. OphthalmicEdge is a compilation of clinical lectures and short movies for ophthalmology residents, fellows, ophthalmologists and ophthalmic technicians with little or no understanding of Diagnostic Ophthalmic Ultrasound.
