Here at the UHealth Tower, our medical team and hospital staff are committed to serving you during this exciting time.

Your choice of surgeons and program is determined by many factors including the credentials of the surgeon, our commitment to excellence, the friendliness of the office and hospital staff, our location, and value. We believe that our comprehensive and detailed package is the premier choice.

Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS)

FFS for our M2F patients can sometimes be the most important decision in your transition. These delicate procedures shift the male facial patterns to a softer, feminine appearance. The differences between male and female facial features vary with age, ethnicity and how early hormonal therapy was started.

The most feminizing procedures include advancing the hairline, lifting the brow and flattening the supraorbital rims. Many patients also choose rhinoplasty to re-sculpt the nose, straighten the bridge and refine the tip. If necessary, a tracheal shave and jaw contouring will soften the facial appearance even more. Cheek and lip enhancements can give both a rounder and smoother appearance. Subtle cheek augmentation could entail inserting a small implant underneath the skin or volumizing the area with dermal fillers. Lip work could include either a lip lift, which shortens the upper lip, and the use of fillers or fat transfer injections for plumping the lip.

Helpful LGBTQ information

Our Location

UHealth Tower is a fully accredited 560-bed hospital located in downtown Miami, Florida. Patients undergoing genital procedures, including GAS (gender affirmation surgery), will enjoy the utmost privacy during their outpatient or inpatient procedures. A private room will be made available for inpatient procedures in our very modern, comfortable hospital. Our staff is very familiar with caring for a wide range of patients including celebrities, politicians, and royalty. Your privacy is our pleasure.

Please note:

Patients under the age of 18 will need parental consent for genital procedures. For patients with Gender Identity diagnosis, our physician staff will follow the guidelines of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH). These guidelines are established to ensure that you are fully prepared for surgery. They recommend one/two referral letters prior to undergoing surgery. These letters must be from an experienced mental health professional, who you have worked with for over a year. Letters must state that gender affirming surgery is the correct course of treatment for the patient.
