As a survivor of genitourinary cancer, you should attend all your recommended follow-up appointments. During these appointments, you will see your provider for physical exams, and if necessary blood tests and imaging tests. This is done to ensure you are healing and that the cancer has not returned. Your provider will let you know what specific follow-up appointment schedule you should follow based on the type of cancer you experienced.

During your follow-up appointments, please tell your provider about any mental or physical health changes you experience. Your provider can help you manage these changes and treatment side effects. They will also talk to you about important topics like smoking cessation.
