At Sylvester, we offer comprehensive support for survivors of all gynecologic cancers. We strive to help you live a healthy and happy life after your cancer treatment is complete.

All gynecologic cancer survivors should attend all scheduled follow-up appointments. These appointments allow your provider to check for any cancer recurrence as well as offer you support for treatment side effects. During your follow-up appointment, you’ll have a physical exam.  In some cases, you will have labs or imaging tests ordered. You’ll also have time to ask any questions you have about your health.

You should always talk to your gynecologic oncologic provider about any problems you are experiencing, like pain, discomfort, or symptoms of menopause. Your provider can help you manage these problems and will talk to you about important topics like:

• Hormone therapy
• Pelvic rehabilitation
  
• Treatment-related side effects
