Risk factors for low testosterone include:

Treatments

Testosterone Replacement Therapy
Your doctor can help increase your levels of testosterone with replacement therapy. With this therapy, you will receive testosterone through gels, pills, patches, or injections.

Tests

Blood Tests
Your doctor will take a sample of your blood to check your testosterone levels. They will also check levels of other hormones, such as estradiol and luteinizing hormone, that can cause low testosterone.

Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Testing
Your doctor will also use a blood test to check your PSA levels. High PSA levels may mean you have prostate cancer, which can affect testosterone levels.
