When calcium builds in your arteries, it can be a sign of heart-related health problems, including atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, or coronary microvascular disease. A calcium scan is a CT scan of your heart that detects and measures the amount of calcium in the walls of your arteries.

If you have a calcium screening prescription from your doctor, call 305-2-HEART-U (305-243-2788) to make your screening appointment. If you don’t already have a prescription but want to get checked, take a FREE heart risk assessment that includes a family history survey. If your free assessment shows you meet the criteria for being at risk of heart attack, you’ll receive a prescription for the $99 calcium screening.
You qualify for a cardiac calcium screening* if you are a man aged 40-65 or a woman aged 50-65 with any of the following risk factors:
