IMAGING FOR
YOUR HEART’S
HEALTH

UHealth’s Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging program delivers leading-edge imaging across South Florida, using the latest technology to give you and your doctor the clearest picture possible to create your personalized treatment plan. As an academic medical center, we continue to pioneer innovative imaging approaches for complex heart care—helping improve clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.

Cardiac CT

  • Coronary CT angiography (CCTA) for chest pain evaluation and coronary anatomy
  • FFR/CT for physiologic assessment of intermediate lesions
  • Plaque analysis (including total plaque volume) to support risk stratification and personalized risk factor modification
  • CT-guided PCI planning
  • Structural valve assessment (e.g., AV, MV)
  • Structural heart planning: TAVR, LAAO, and mitral valve procedure planning
  • Electrophysiology support: AF ablation planning
  • Anomalous coronary arteries and other congenital coronary variants
  • Aortic imaging

Cardiac MRI

  • Cardiomyopathies (ischemic and non-ischemic) with tissue characterization
  • Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) phenotyping and risk assessment support
  • Infiltrative disease: amyloidosis and cardiac sarcoidosis; plus myocarditis patterns
  • Myocardial viability and scar assessment to guide revascularization and HF management
  • Stress perfusion and microvascular dysfunction assessment
  • Coronary artery imaging
  • Pericardial disease, including evaluation for constrictive pericarditis
  • Valvular disease quantification (e.g., AR, MR)
  • Aortic disease assessment

Cardiac PET/SPECT

  • Myocardial blood flow and microvascular dysfunction assessment
  • Stress perfusion for ischemia evaluation and risk stratification
  • Myocardial viability to guide revascularization decisions
  • Cardiac sarcoidosis evaluation and follow-up
  • Cardiac amyloidosis (transthyretin) diagnosis
  • Cardiac function assessment (MUGA)

Echocardiography

  • Transthoracic echocardiography for comprehensive evaluation of cardiac structure, function, and valvular disease
  • Three-dimensional echocardiography for precise ventricular volume, ejection fraction, and valvular anatomy assessment
  • Myocardial strain imaging for early detection of subclinical LV dysfunction, amyloidosis assessment, and cardio-oncology surveillance
  • Stress echocardiography (exercise and pharmacologic) for ischemia, valvular disease, and functional capacity assessment
  • Transesophageal echocardiography for high-resolution evaluation of valves, LAA, endocarditis, shunts, and procedural guidance
  • Metabolic stress testing with CPET for objective evaluation of exercise tolerance, dyspnea, and heart failure
