Board of Overseers

Board Chair's Message

Adam CarlinAs chair of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Board of Overseers, I am committed to do all in my power to best position Sylvester for continued success in its mission to reduce the burden of cancer in South Florida and beyond. Our success in achieving this mandate is dependent upon providing both the highest level of medical care and an equally exceptional personal experience for each of our patients as well as their loved ones.

The realization of our mission will continue to be dependent upon the hard work of Sylvester’s researchers, physicians, staff and leadership, and also our many dedicated supporters within the community.

It has been a true honor to work alongside the many people so passionately dedicated to helping navigate this very exciting and pivotal period for Sylvester and its path into the future. The efforts of these hardworking individuals are evident in each milestone Sylvester achieves – milestones such as the grand opening of The Lennar Foundation Medical Center in December 2016; the landmark $50 million commitment from The Pap Corps, Champions for Cancer Research, a grassroots organization of more than 21,000 individuals committed to supporting cancer research at Sylvester; and the Dolphins Cancer Challenge, which has been so successful in engaging our community to fundraise for cancer research at Sylvester – more than $22 million and counting since 2010.

There are many people within our community who are deeply committed to supporting Sylvester’s success, including my fellow board members. It is a privilege to serve with our board, which consists of a group of truly dedicated, and passionately involved community leaders and hospital professionals.

Together we are making significant, exciting strides to support Sylvester’s ultimate mission to end cancer.

Best regards,
