Research Focus

Our research focus is to decipher and understand the crosstalk between the ocular surface/tissues, microbiota and immune system in maintaining homeostasis, mitigating dysbiosis, and reducing microbial insult. The ultimate goal (s) are to improve patient outcomes, develop alternative therapies and contribute to the evolving and dynamic body of knowledge in ophthalmic infectious disease.
