Am I a Candidate?
You qualify for a cardiac calcium screening* if you are a man aged 40-65 or a woman aged 50-65 with any of these risk factors:
- High cholesterol, high blood pressure or, diabetes
- Family history of cardiovascular disease
- Obesity
- Smoking
*Those already diagnosed with cardiovascular disease are not eligible for a calcium screening.

This discount or free service described herein is not conditional on the receipt of additional health care services at the University of Miami Health System. You will not be billed for the free heart risk assessment. A determination of need for the calcium screening will be made prior to the test. No additional services will be discounted. Our team will send any abnormal findings to your physician. If you need a referral to a qualified cardiologist or primary care doctor, we can provide you with a number of highly skilled UHealth physicians.
