Gastric Sleeve

Usually the most effective procedure, your surgeon reduces the size of the stomach by creating a small, sleeve-shaped pouch about the size of a banana.

Gastric Bypass

Also called a laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, your surgeon creates a small pouch from the top of the stomach, making a bypass so food skips parts of the small intestine. Following the surgery, you'll need to supplement your diet with additional vitamins and minerals to compensate for those that will no longer be absorbed by your body.

BPD/DS - Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch

The Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch, abbreviated BPD-DS, begins with creation of a tube-shaped stomach pouch similar to the sleeve gastrectomy. It resembles the gastric bypass, where more of the small intestine is not used.

SADI - Single Anastomosis Duodeno-Ileal Switch

The Single Anastomosis Duodenal-Ileal Bypass with Sleeve Gastrectomy, referred to as the SADI-S is the most recent procedure to be endorsed by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. While similar to the BPD-DS, the SADI-S is simpler and takes less time to perform as there is only one surgical bowel connection.

Revisional Surgery

Sometimes patients regain weight after their initial surgery. If this happens, we offer both laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures to help them continue losing weight and get their health back on track.

ESG - Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (non-surgical)

Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) is a minimally invasive, non-surgical weight-loss procedure. It uses an endoscope with a suturing device to reduce the size of the stomach and is incision-free. Patients with obesity (BMI ≥ 30) that want a non-surgical alternative and have not been able to achieve successful weight-loss with diet and lifestyle changes can quality for this new procedure.
