Research Focus

The Schlumbrecht lab focuses on gynecologic cancers through the lens of healthcare disparities. Taking a comprehensive approach to the etiology of disparities in risk and outcome, we employ qualitative and quantitative strategies to the diseases we study. Genomics, including somatic, spatial, and metagenomics, is intertwined with patient-level data with an emphasis on ancestry and population disaggregation. Our work is done both globally and locally to ensure that it is inclusive.
