The Simulation Corner – Touch & Train Experience
For CURSO 2026, ophthalmic education goes even further with an expanded Simulation Corner and Touch & Train Experience, designed to deliver the most comprehensive hands on training environment in the course’s history.
Building on last year’s success, the 2026 experience will feature more stations, more surgical techniques, and a broader range of procedures—allowing participants to learn, practice, and refine skills across multiple subspecialties in a highly immersive setting.
Expanded Wet Labs
Participants will have the opportunity to practice surgical techniques in a controlled, faculty guided and industry representative expert environment, with step by step instruction from internationally recognized experts. These wet labs are designed to bridge the gap between theory and real world surgical execution.
Next-Generation Surgical Simulation
Using advanced simulation technology, attendees will experience realistic clinical and surgical scenarios that mirror real operating room challenges. These simulations allow for repeated practice, decision making under pressure, and technical refinement—without patient risk.
Hands-On Training Opportunities Will Include
Wet labs and simulation sessions covering an expanded range of procedures, including:
- Cataract surgery and management of complex cataract complications
- New cataract surgery techniques and emerging technologies
- Intraocular lens (IOL) scleral fixation
- Non-phaco cataract surgery techniques
- Lamellar corneal surgery
- Laser photocoagulation for retina and glaucoma
- Angle surgery for glaucoma and many other surprises.
An Immersive Learning Experience
These optional sessions are designed to:
- Sharpen surgical skills
- Build confidence with new and complex techniques
- Provide meaningful, hands on exposure guided by expert faculty
Whether you are refining established skills or exploring new surgical approaches, the CURSO 2026 Simulation Corner offers a unique opportunity to elevate your clinical practice through experiential learning.
