Call for Abstracts – Now Closed
Step into the first-ever Digital EyeCon PosterVerse—an interactive, immersive poster competition in the metaverse hosted by the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. We’re calling on medical students, residents, fellows, and early-career innovators from around the world to showcase their work at the cutting edge of digital health and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome original research and case reports related to:
- Emerging Technologies in Education
- AI in Healthcare
- Remote Patient Monitoring
- Innovative Models of Care
- Wearables, Sensors, Robotics, and 3D Printing
If it pushes the boundaries of how we care, connect, or learn in medicine, it belongs in the PosterVerse.
A Poster Hall in the Metaverse 🌐
Accepted posters will be showcased virtually in the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute Metaverse Campus on April 6-10.
- Authors will host virtual booths for real-time interaction
- Posters will be viewable in both an immersive 3D space and a 2D gallery
- Attendees can join guided poster walks with moderators
- Live Q&A sessions will connect presenters with a global audience
All authors will be eligible for the following awards and prizes:
- Best Presentation: A Meta Quest 3 Headset
- Best Abstract: An Anker Prime Power Bank
- Most Innovative: An Anker MagSafe Power Bank
Submission Guidelines
All abstracts should be structured and include:
- Title
- Authors
- Affiliations
- Abstract body (250–300 words)
- Category
- Disclosures
Digital posters must be created in 16:9 widescreen format and submitted as a PDF or PNG.
Top abstracts will be selected for e-poster presentation during Digital EyeCon.
Please note: At least one author of each accepted abstract must be registered for in-person or remote attendance at Digital EyeCon 2026.
Live Presentation Opportunity
The top three winners will be invited to present live at Digital EyeCon on Saturday, April 18th as part of the main program.
