Joan Curtin is the executive director of Bascom Palmer Eye Institute's satellite practices in Palm Beach Gardens and Naples. She oversees the clinical and business operations for the medical group and ambulatory surgery centers (ASC).
Most recently, Curtin served as director of physician services at Cone Health, Greensboro, NC, with responsibility for the Gastroenterology Division, LeBauer Endoscopy Center, and LeBauer Neurology. Her previous leadership roles include Practice Administrator, General Medical Associates, Medicine Specialties & Ophthalmology at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York; and administrator of ambulatory care at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, New York.
Curtin holds an executive master's degree in public administration from Baruch College, City University of New York, and a bachelor of science in business administration from University College, Cork, Ireland. She earned CMPE (Certified Medical Practice Executive), PMP (Project Management Professional), and MGMA Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certifications.
