    Virtual care cares everywhere! Bring eye care to patients in their own homes or communities, by understanding the key components of mobile technology and accessibility.

    Digital twins are 3D, immersive, replicas of real-life environments which may be used for patient care, medical education, and much more. Leap into our metaverse and explore the possibilities of creating your own virtual environment, for teaching or for your patients.

    When providing care virtually, it is important to adjust care practices accordingly. This workshop will provide you with the foundational etiquette and skills to deliver humanistic care through the screen.
    B. Virtual Team Building
    Creating a team tailored to deliver virtual care requires unique skills. Learn how to build your team for every step of the virtual process, from check-in to patient examination.
    C. Patient Journey Mapping
    Changing the paradigm of care is challenging. Learn how to design your patient’s virtual journey by identifying and mapping touchpoints (points of interaction) between the patient and the healthcare system.
    D. AI in Medical Education
    Unsure how to apply AI in medical education? Join this session to learn how to integrate AI solutions in a way that benefits your trainees and programs.

  3. Smart Exams – Part 1

    Virtual reality, and augmented reality, provides an opportunity for enhanced medical education and patient care by providing an in-depth understanding of the eye exam. This session will give you the skills needed to create your own VR exam experience.
    C. 3D Digital Slit Lamp Exams
    Using a 3D digital slit lamp provides a deeper understanding of eye exams for medical trainees and providers. Gain exposure to the future of ophthalmology in this session.
    D. Community Screening
