This unique and exciting symposium and wet lab will be held March 23, 2019 at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. Come and see us this spring in Miami!
This one-day course is designed for ophthalmologists, optometrists and contact lens specialists whose clinical practices include comprehensive ophthalmology, corneal diseases, refractive surgery, primary care optometry and contact lens fitting.
A distinguished panel of guest speakers and Bascom Palmer faculty will use an interdisciplinary, interactive approach as they present a variety of clinical vignettes to illustrate the new paradigm in the diagnosis, treatment and visual rehabilitation of patients with keratoconus.
Topics will include:
- The new paradigm in the surgical treatment of patients with keratoconus including corneal collagen crosslinking, intracorneal rings and keratoplasty, with illustrative video-based presentations.
- New advances in diagnostic techniques to identify patients with keratoconus and those at risk of developing post-refractive surgery corneal ectasia.
- New advances in contact lenses for the visual rehabilitation of patients with keratoconus.
A wet lab will be available for participants to gain hands-on exposure to corneal collagen crosslinking, deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty, diagnosis of keratoconus bootcamp and contact lens fitting bootcamp.
