Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Describe and illustrate the basics of ophthalmic ultrasound history and physics
- Evaluate scan types, devices and probe selection for ultrasonic diagnostics
- Compare new technologies including annular array devices
- Manage probe positioning and scan sequences in developing diagnostic skills
- Analyze critical ultrasound diagnostic concepts in tumor management
- Develop skill sets for probe positions and scanning techniques utilized in Diagnostic Real-Time B-Scan of the Posterior (10-20 MHz) and Anterior Segment (35-50 MHz)
- Apply skill sets to improve pattern recognition and diagnostic interpretation
