Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Assess glaucomatous progression using multimodal diagnostic and imaging findings.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for glaucoma diagnosis, monitoring, and surgical management
- Select individualized laser and pharmacologic treatment strategies based on patient-specific clinical factors.
- Compare minimally invasive and traditional glaucoma surgical procedures according to clinical indications and expected outcomes.
- Manage complications and reoperation decisions associated with glaucoma surgical interventions.
- Apply patient-centered decision-making strategies to optimize treatment selection, adherence, and quality of life.
- Individualize intraocular lens (IOL) selection for patients with glaucoma by balancing refractive goals, visual quality, contrast sensitivity, and the effects of glaucoma on functional vision.
