Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Evaluate current and new uses and modalities of OCT for ophthalmic disease imaging
  • Recognize artifacts and pitfalls of OCT imaging for ocular disease
  • Evaluate the diagnostic capabilities of imaging for glaucoma
  • Formulate glaucoma treatment plans based on imaging data along with functional testing
  • Analyze imaging data for disease progression to determine when to escalate treatment for glaucoma
  • Identify and follow patients with neuro-ophthalmic disease based on imaging testing
  • Interpret retinal imaging to diagnose retinal diseases
  • Use OCT imaging to determine progression and response to treatment of retinal diseases
  • Analyze OCT imaging technology and how to utilize in clinical practice and clinical trials
