Course Objectives
Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Select best vitreoretinal surgical procedure by evaluating indications and outcomes
- Select appropriate patients for tube shunt implantation and recognize complications associated with this procedure
- Use imaging technology to diagnose ophthalmic diseases at an early stage to initiate treatment sooner and create better patient outcomes
- Identify and manage tumors involving periocular structures
- Describe common microbial organisms producing endophthalmitis
