Ophthalmology Research Foundation (ORF)

The Ophthalmology Research Foundation (ORF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of blindness. The ORF was established and continues to exist to receive and maintain funds that are used exclusively to support activities of Bascom Palmer Eye Institute/Department of Ophthalmology of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. For more than 40 years, the ORF has supported research by Bascom Palmer’s vision scientists as well as funded the purchase of equipment, property and services used for patient care, physician training and education.


Giving to the ORF

It’s easy to make a difference in the fight to eradicate blinding diseases. The Ophthalmology Research Foundation supports the cutting-edge studies at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute that are translated into advanced eye care, such as new drugs, new patient therapies, and innovative surgical procedures. Pledged Gifts
We recognize the significance of pledged gifts which provide support through time. Pledged gifts have helped build research labs, staffed clinics, funded scientific discoveries, and supported the education of tomorrow’s leading physicians and scientists.

As donations to the Ophthalmology Foundation accumulate, recognition levels advance.
