In May 2026, the University was notified of potential unauthorized access to medical records and promptly initiated a comprehensive review.
The University determined that limited patient health information was improperly obtained by an unauthorized third-party. The information included first and last names, dates of birth, and insurance details. No financial information, Social Security numbers, or credit data were compromised as part of this incident.
The University is diligently collaborating with law enforcement to pursue any necessary actions against the employee involved. The University engaged Kroll, Inc. to send notifications by postal mail to individuals affected, as required by regulations.
