How do I make an appointment?
We offer several ways to request an appointment. You can make an appointing by:
- Filling out our online form.
- Calling 305-243-4000 or toll-free 1-800-432-0191, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Scheduling through a specific specialty.
If you are an international patient, please fill out the international patient’s appointment form or call 305-243-9100.
If you are experiencing symptoms that are urgent in nature, please contact your primary care physician or your nearest urgent care facility.
How long are appointments?
Appointment times vary. Please ask your doctor’s office for specific information.
How do I cancel an appointment?
You must call the doctor’s office at least 24 hours before your appointment.
How many specialties are there at the University of Miami Health System?

How do I find specialists for a specific area of medicine?

Do any of your facilities have pharmacies?
Yes, all the hospitals on the medical campus have pharmacies. Some of the Sylvester satellite facilities also have pharmacies.
Do your hospitals and medical centers have chapels or other worship sites?
There are interfaith chapels at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, UHealth Tower (formerly the University of Miami Hospital) , Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Are there cafeterias or other places to eat on site at any of your facilities?
All of the hospitals on the University of Miami Medical Campus have cafeterias. There are also restaurant or cafeteria options at other locations. Please visit your specific location’s page for more information.
Do you have interpreter services?

Is free wireless internet access available?
Free Wi-Fi is available inside and outside of most buildings on the University of Miami Medical Campus. To access the Internet, look for the Medical Wireless or CanesGuest network on your computer or phone.
