HURRICANE MILTON UPDATE

Thursday, October 10, 2024 – 1 p.m.

The safety and well-being of our patients and employees remains our top priority.

Following a thorough assessment after Hurricane Milton, most ambulatory and in-patient UHealth clinical operations are continuing with normal operations.

The following locations are closed Thursday, but will be fully operational on Friday, Oct. 11:

  • Naples: Bascom Palmer Eye Institute Naples and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center Naples.
  • Aventura: Sylvester Aventura.
  • Boca Raton: UHealth Boca Raton and Neurology Clinic.
  • UHealth Clinic at Walgreens in Boca will close Wednesday at 6 p.m. and remain closed Thursday. The facility is scheduled to reopen Friday at 8:30 a.m., impact permitting.
  • Palm Beach County: UHealth Palm Beach Gardens, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute Palm Beach Gardens, UHealth Downtown West Palm Beach, and UHealth Concierge Medicine Palm Beach.

The safety and well-being of our patients and employees is our top priority as we monitor Hurricane Milton.

Given the current forecast, Ambulatory and in-patient UHealth clinical operations are continuing with normal operations, EXCEPT for the following locations:

  • Naples: Bascom Palmer Eye Institute Naples and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center Naples, which are closed through Thursday.
  • Aventura: Sylvester Aventura facility is closed Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Boca Raton: UHealth Boca Raton and Neurology Clinic will be closed Thursday.
  • UHealth Clinic at Walgreens in Boca will close Wednesday at 6 p.m. and remain closed Thursday. The facility is scheduled to reopen Friday at 8:30 a.m., impact permitting.
  • Palm Beach County: UHealth Palm Beach Gardens, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute Palm Beach Gardens, UHealth Downtown West Palm Beach, and UHealth Concierge Medicine Palm Beach will be closed Thursday.

Patients who had appointments Wednesday and Thursday are being contacted to reschedule or, if possible, convert them to virtual visits.
