Our oral surgeons can offer patients a greater variety of complex dental procedures. The team consists of top-tier physicians who can perform tumor removal and reconstructive surgery. Our goal is to successfully treat your condition and to keep you looking your best.

In addition, our patients get direct access to the other experts within the university health system. We can work hand-in-hand with the sleep clinic to address your sleep apnea and other issues.

Treatments

Tumor Removal
Our oral surgeons specialize in the removal of benign and malignant tumors of the mouth, face and neck. In fact, we are internationally known for expertise in this area. After the tumors are removed, we take special care in reconstructing your mouth and face not only to restore your ability to eat and speak properly, but also to help you look your best.

Orthognathic Surgery
Orthognathic surgery is performed to correct developmental growth abnormalities of the jaws and facial bones. Our patients commonly have a malocclusion, or a bad bite, which can either cause an overbite or an underbite. These problems may affect your chewing as well as your speech.

The surgery is performed under general anesthesia and is usually combined with braces (orthodontics). During the surgery, your jaws are moved to improve your bite and appearance.

Facial and Jaw Reconstructive Surgery
The direct management and definitive care of facial injuries is the hallmark of our service. We achieve optimal results through top-notch treatment of bone, nerve, and skin injuries. With onsite dental experts, patients with complex medical problems can also have dental problems solved at our hospitals.

Sleep Apnea and Snoring Management
Sleep apnea is a serious medical condition. If you suffer from sleep apnea - loss of breath during sleep – you may stop breathing for small periods of time (seconds) or snore loudly during the night. Also due to poor sleep, you may be tired during the day and have difficulty completing daily tasks. Several forms of treatment are available to correct this condition including surgery to increase the space in the throat. We have the latest equipment (radio frequency and lasers) to treat these conditions in an office setting. You may also require a sleep study to confirm the diagnosis of sleep apnea.
