UHealth and UnitedHealthcare Reach Contract Agreement
Following 14 months of productive discussions, UHealth and UnitedHealthcare have finalized a new multi-year agreement, preserving in-network access for more than 60,000 UHealth patients enrolled in the following UnitedHealthcare products:
- Employer-sponsored commercial plans
- Individual & Family Plans (IFP)
- Medicaid (UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Florida)
We're pleased to have reached a new agreement that ensures patients and their families can continue accessing the UHealth doctors, hospitals, and services they know and trust. Throughout the process, our priority has been to protect patient access, avoid disruptions in care, and keep high-quality care accessible. We appreciate that United saw the value of maintaining access to academic medicine for the thousands of patients who rely on us for their complex care.
The agreement preserves in-network access to the physicians, hospitals, and specialized care patients rely on every day, recognizing UHealth's importance to the health and well-being of the South Florida community.
This is a separate agreement from that with Preferred Care Network (Medicare Advantage) plan. For details on that plan, read more here.
