Led by Phillip Ruiz, M.D., Ph.D., an internationally recognized expert in transplantation pathology, immunology and immunopathology, our laboratories employ more than 50 highly qualified individuals distributed in three (3) working shifts. The lab provides critical services coverage for 24 hours / 365 days.
Our facilities comply with all local and federal regulations. Open floor map to eliminate barriers in the traditional functional areas, and laboratory efficiency, were key elements in the space design. Lean concepts are implemented as well in many of our workflows to facilitate operations.
IHL uses a stringent electronic Document Control system for all protocols and regulatory documents. Additionally, our IT infrastructure allow for a secure customer interface with our EPIC/UCHART systems for electronic results. Otherwise access to a secure webportal is provided for clinical reports access at all times.
