2024 Beacon for Excellence Awards
	All of UHealth’s critical care units, as well as one step-down unit, have each earned a Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). The AACN Beacon Award is a three-year national designation, recognizing nursing units for providing exceptional care and supportive work environments with greater collaboration, higher morale and lower turnover.

2024 Watson Caring Science Lotus Recognition

UHealth’s Caritas Council has been awarded Watson Caring Science Institute’s Lotus Recognition™, marking the 15th and only organization in the state of Florida to receive this honor. Caring Science incorporates the art and science of caring and includes concepts from the fields of philosophy, ethics, ecology and mind-body-spirit medicine. In medicine, it has proven to improve patient care and reduce staff burnout.

2024 Mitral Valve Repair Reference Center Award
	UHealth has been recognized by the Mitral Foundation for its commitment to this life-enhancing procedure. The Mitral Valve Repair Reference Center Award means patients are assured that experienced surgical teams strive for superior clinical outcomes guided by data-driven oversight from a highly respected health organization. Only 24 organizations across the United States have achieved this honor.

2024 The Society of Thoracic Surgeons Three-Star Ratings Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR) Surgery
	UHealth has earned a distinguished three-star rating – the highest tier – from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for its patient care and outcomes for AVR surgery. The STS star rating system is one of the most sophisticated and highly regarded overall measures of quality in health care, rating the benchmarked outcomes of cardiothoracic surgery programs in the United States and Canada.

2024 Get with the Guidelines® – Heart Failure Gold Plus with Target: Heart Failure Honor Roll and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll
	UHealth has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® – Heart Failure Gold Plus quality achievement award for its commitment to improving outcomes for patients with heart failure, meaning reduced readmissions and more healthy days at home.
