Dr. Sinno is interested in surgical innovation research and optimization of perioperative outcomes in gynecologic oncology. He believes in radical cytoreductive surgery for gynecologic malignancies, and researches optimal techniques to improve the safety and tolerability of these procedures. He is currently director or surgical research and education with in the division of gynecologic oncology and working on optimizing surgical pathways, incorporating HIPEC into standard clinical practice, and incorporation of technology into routine surgical procedures. He is also interested in the role of the social determinants of health on oncologic and perioperative outcomes. Specifically, social needs assessment and mental health impact on quality of life in cancer patients. He has a particular interest on the role of holistic and integrative medicine on improving outcomes in gynecologic oncology. He participates in all clinical trials in the division.
