- Associate Professor
- MD/MPH Program FBS1 Course Director
- Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
Dr. Gong's laboratory investigates how DNA repair pathways operate in eukaryotic cells to remove DNA lesions from chromatinized DNA. They use budding yeast and cultured human cancer cells to examine the roles of histone modifications and chromatin remodeling in DNA repair. In addition, they are interested in the roles of deubiquitinating enzymes in the control of p53 stability.
