Research Interest
Radiation-induced toxicities have a profound impact on cancer survivors' morbidity and mortality. Dr. Azzam is most interested in the molecular mechanisms of the long-term toxicities that arise after radiation therapy and how to prevent these toxicities. Targeting the pathways of these toxicities may offer an opportunity to broaden the therapeutic window and better cancer care.
