How lipid interacts with proteins and contribute to cell behavior and function. Development of methods to capture sugar containing proteins on cell surface and isolate lipids that binds to membrane fractionated this way. Altered state of cells (such as cells undergoing active detachment) will present lipid differences and enzymatic activities that contribute to such changes. Mass spectrometric methods that enables identification and quantification of such lipids. Such investigations are relevant for cancer. Another interest is posttranslational modification of protein-bound arginine deimination. Aberrant modification of arginine results in altered state of cells relevant for cancer.
