Adolescent medicine specialists at University of Miami Health System provide care for a wide range of conditions in children — typically teenagers in middle and high school through college-aged young adults. Our multidisciplinary team stresses preventive health in a confidential setting, while diagnosing and treating a full range of health issues that are often seen in adolescents.
We provide compassionate care for individuals as they transition from childhood to adulthood, and specialize in sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) care, puberty, menstruation, sexual health, sexual identity concerns, and sports medicine.
Our team includes specialty-trained doctors who are board certified and hold advanced qualifications in adolescent medicine. We offer confidential, age-appropriate care, according to Florida public health statutes and state law. And because we are part of an academic health system, we work closely with many other sub-specialists and can provide referrals, as needed, for highly specialized care.
