The Surgical Services Department at the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics provides a full array services in areas including in the pre-op clinic, holding area, operating room, and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). Our Surgical Services Department follows the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) standards as guidelines for nursing care and staffing as appropriate. Nursing teams are experienced in the latest minimally invasive and robotic procedures as well as open and complex surgeries to best support physicians and patients.Critical Care
