Research Focus

Dr. Brothers works on drug discovery and development for a number of systems. He also runs the Molecular Therapeutics Shared Resource (MTSR) and is a founding member of the Center for Therapeutic Innovation (CTI) at the University of Miami. Dr. Brothers has a number of drug discovery and development programs including in neuroscience, oncology, addiction, PTSD, inflammation, and immune diseases. He employs basic pharmacology for preclinical drug discovery. The goal of these projects is to develop a novel therapeutic and translate it to the clinic utilizing the multidisciplinary team of physicians and researchers.
