Our research relies heavily on the concurrent development of leading-edge approaches in molecular biology, genomics, and epigenetics. The concept of personalized (precision) medicine is at the core of many of our projects. We collaborate with colleagues in academic research as well as with those in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. In our relatively short history at the university, several therapeutic projects have progressed from our labs to clinical trials. And some basic science discoveries have helped to develop novel research techniques or diagnostic approaches. These successes further strengthen our resolve to uncover tomorrow’s breakthroughs and bring innovative treatments to those who need them.
