Research Focus

We pursue both basic (genomic/transcriptomic/epigenomic) and applied (drug discovery and development) work. Armed with various molecular techniques, we are attempting to improve our understanding of the underlying biology of certain diseases – including neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, addiction and other psychiatric illnesses, rare genetic disorders, and cancer. Our team aims at discovering novel therapeutics and repurposing or reformulating existing treatments by exploring modalities with a focus on small molecules and oligonucleotides.
