Our Journey toward Magnet Designation

In alignment with the goals of quality patient care and recognition of nursing talent, the UHealth – University of Miami Health System is on its journey toward Magnet recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Magnet is a globally recognized designation awarded to health care organizations that promote clinical quality, improve patient outcomes, support excellence and innovations in nursing practice and create and sustain a culture of excellence. The designation encourages shared governance, continuing education, opportunities for organizational advancement and improves both nursing staff and patient satisfaction.
