Simulation Labs
Nurses at all levels across UHealth have access to simulation labs to enhance their education, training and readiness for real-world clinical practice. Equipped with high-fidelity simulators, monitors, crash carts, patient beds and other state-of-the-art tools, the Simulation Hospital Advancing Research and Education (S.H.A.R.E.®) at the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies allows nurses to practice critical decision-making skills in a safe, controlled environment. Additionally, simulations are coordinated in conjunction with physician staff to enhance care team dynamics and communication.
Patient Education Content
Our nurses also have access to a myriad of health sheets and resources to facilitate patient education. We offer a patient education platform that utilizes the most up-to-date health literacy principles to aid in the clarification of diagnoses, assist in the decision-making process and foster trust between the patient and care providers.
