Ralf Landgraf, Ph.D.
- Associate Professor
- Director, Sheila and David Fuente Graduate Program in Cancer Biology
- Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
Dr. Landgraf studies the mechanisms of signaling by membrane localized receptors, their deregulation in cancer, and routes for intervention. A long standing focus are ERBB2 (HER2) and ERBB3(HER3) receptors, primarily in breast cancer. A major focus of current work is the Smoothened (SMO) receptor and its contribution to chemotherapy resistance in DLBCL through a novel mechanism of signal stabilization of AKT and other key players in survival signaling pathways.
