Research Focus

Dr. Dihn’s laboratory focuses on hearing-related disorders (including radiation and drug ototoxicity, cochlear implantation trauma, and otoprotective agents). They also established primary human vestibular schwannoma cultures and have created a novel xenograft model for vestibular schwannoma, which are important resources for our translational research on vestibular schwannoma and Neurofibromatosis Type 2. Dr. Dihn’s research focuses on identifying effective therapies against ototoxicity, hearing loss, vestibular schwannoma, and Neurofibromatosis Type 2.
