Research Focus
The long-term goal of our research is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which tissue regeneration, fibrosis, and carcinogenesis are controlled in response to biochemical and biomechanical cues in normal and disease microenvironments. My current research focuses on the role of mechanotransduction mediated by the Hippo pathway. We are particularly interested in Hippo-dependent and -independent small GTPases and kinases that respond to the biochemical signals and mechanical cues during tissue regeneration and carcinogenesis.
