Research Focus
We have previously demonstrated that microRNAs can instruct the fate of CD8 T cell differentiation by targeting several molecular pathways and uncovered the therapeutic potential of modulating microRNA expression to improve current immunotherapy strategies. Our future research goals are to examine the molecular, transcriptional and epigenetic pathways governed by microRNAs and other non-coding RNAs that instruct T cell differentiation and function, especially in the context of chronic infections and cancer. We are currently exploring novel ways to deliver microRNAs in order to improve adaptive immune responses and the outcome of immunotherapy.
