At the Sylvester's Brain Tumor Institute Initiative, our researchers are working tirelessly to develop new more targeted, personalized treatments for all brain tumors - cancerous or benign. We are a multidisciplinary team, made up of more than 100 skilled surgeons, physicians, nurses, and researchers from several departments, including neurosurgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, neurology, pathology, and pediatrics, among others.

We are advancing the personalized treatment of brain tumors. By translating scientific progress into novel treatments, we provide crucial resources and support to our patients, their families, and caregivers. We’re striving to reduce the devastating burden of brain tumors through education, research and the delivery of personalized patient care.

Why Choose Us?

Sylvester is an NCI-designated cancer center. The National Cancer Institute has recognized us for our outstanding work conducting research, treating patients and reaching out to medically underserved communities with innovative prevention strategies.

International leaders in brain tumor research and care. We play a vital role in the community, thanks to our groundbreaking research and patient care for people in Florida, Latin America, the Caribbean, and beyond. We employ a multidisciplinary approach where researchers communicate directly with a patient’s surgeon and physician – a dynamic feedback loop to improve exchange of knowledge and accelerate access to clinical trials and leading edge-treatments. We’re creating one of the premier brain tumor institutes centers in the country.

Offering the latest in scientific breakthrough treatment. You have access to all treatment options, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, complementary and integrative medicine, and comprehensive management — including new approaches through clinical trials. We have built a strong foundation to respond to brain tumors with urgency using the latest precision medicine techniques. The procedures we perform on both pediatric and adult patients use the least invasive neurosurgical techniques, which reduces recovery time and makes a significant difference in your quality of life.
