Building on Sylvester Cancer's research with firefighters across Florida since 2015, we launched CARES To Go in 2015, bringing occupational health assessments to you via our mobile clinics.

Our clinical team addresses the unique needs of firefighters. We assess firefighters using hearing, vision, lung, cardiac, and lab screening tests onsite at the fire station. Our advanced practice provider reviews all results and conducts a physical exam. Additionally, we emphasize prevention and early cancer detection per the NFPA 1582 standards and make screening recommendations based on the firefighter's risk factors. If additional testing is needed, our navigation team will connect firefighters to care at their location of choice. Screenings will include, though not be limited to, breast, cervical, colorectal, esophageal, lung, prostate, thyroid, and skin cancers. Our staff will also inform patients of opportunities to participate in firefighter cancer-related research.
