954-571-0111From screening and diagnosis to treatment and follow up, Sylvester at Deerfield Beach provides complete cancer care to patients in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Part of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center/UMHC—University of Miami Hospital & Clinics, the facility has a team of more than 50 cancer specialists offering multidisciplinary care in 14 of Sylvester’s site disease groups.
Sylvester at Deerfield Beach features an expanded examination and treatment area, including a multidisciplinary Women’s Center that offers advanced screening, diagnostic imaging, and treatment for breast and other female-specific cancers. In addition, the Deerfield Beach facility has a state-of-the-art Radiation Oncology Center that houses a full suite of leading-edge imaging services.
The facility also features a 28-chair chemotherapy infusion unit, laboratory and pharmacy services, complementary therapies from the Courtelis Center, support groups, and educational and outreach events. Patients requiring diagnostic, treatment, and surgical procedures not offered at this facility can use the shuttle service from Sylvester at Deerfield Beach to Sylvester/UMHC in Miami facility for a nominal fee, Monday through Friday.
In addition, the Deerfield Beach site serves as home to The Pap Corps: Champions for Cancer Research, a volunteer organization of more than 21,000 women and men dedicated to raising funds for cancer research at Sylvester.
