2024 Sylvester Cancer Survivorship Symposium Recap
The 3rd Annual Sylvester Cancer Survivorship Symposium took place on October 18, 2024 a The Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove. More than 300 attendees gathered at the 3rd Annual Sylvester Cancer Survivorship Symposium, to exchange ideas, explore new opportunities and shape the future of survivorship care and research. The event was dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for cancer survivors beyond treatment.
2021 Annual Virtual Survivorship Celebration Event
The purpose of this yearly event is to celebrate the cancer survivorship journey with survivors and their loved ones. The celebration includes speakers, music, and the opportunity to meet with healthcare providers.
Dolphins Cancer Challenge (DCC) & Living Proof
The Miami Dolphins are a proud partner of Sylvester and support their mission to reduce the human burden from cancer through research, education, prevention, and the delivery of quality patient care. Launched in 2010, DCC participants can ride, walk, run, or volunteer in the effort to raise funds for cancer research at Sylvester.

Cure by Design
Cure by Design Miami is an event in which corporate community joins forces with local designers and cancer survivors to benefit the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. The highlight of the evening is a program that celebrates local Sylvester cancer survivors of all ages and of all cancer types, who share their inspirational journal and rock the runway.
Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer Celebration
In partnership with the Miami Dolphins, The American Cancer Society, and the NFL, Sylvester takes part in the Crucial Catch celebration for cancer survivors to support the fight against cancer. Festivities included a brunch for cancer survivors and their families, the Crucial Catch Halftime show where survivors are honored, and a check presentation to Sylvester.

Survivorship Patient Series
A cancer diagnosis may bring changes that affect a survivor’s body and mind. Many of these symptoms can be temporary or long-lasting. The Cancer Survivorship Translational & Behavioral Sciences team is addressing a series of topics presented by our experts.
